Where I Stand
Our community has become unaffordable. Our traditional economic drivers are drying up. Why? I don’t believe in playing the blame game or creating villains to serve my own aspirations. Our world has changed, and we have to change with it. It is time for us to adapt, to grow, to preserve the local character that defines us, and protect the natural beauty we call home.
I am not running to lead a one-sided discussion or serve narrow interests. I am running for the interests of the diverse community that is us.
This isn’t about them—it’s about us.
The responsibility’s of a County Commissioner may seem mundane, but they are vital, especially in times like these. Our County is facing massive shortfalls that must be addressed. And as we stabilize it, we must ensure that core services are protected and that those in need are not left behind.
We must be honest about the realities we face: rising costs of living, soaring insurance rates, and the increasing pressure on our landscape. Acknowledging these challenges is the first step toward solving them together. My approach is built on the belief that we cannot have a successful community without simultaneously strengthening our economy, our environment, and our education system.
The Shift
Our region is facing a Tidal Shift to the West. People are moving further and further West as the East becomes too expensive and yet work remains Up-Valley. This has turned into another financial drain, squeezing check books as we are forced to pay more to commute to our jobs.
While my platform covers many priorities, my roadmap centers on two essential goals. First, I am focused on maintaining a balanced budget that delivers strong, reliable core services without placing unnecessary burden on the taxpayers. Second, I am committed to easing the strain on the people who make this county what it is.
I am running for a community where we all move forward together.
